I am a researcher at LEGI, currently holding a post-Doc position under the supervision of Julien Chauchat.

My research activity concerns the study of the physical processes at stake during sediment transport with a mechanistic and granular approach. I focus on two main lines :

- the study of the interactions between sediment particles of different sizes and in particular of vertical grain size segregation and diffusion remixing. During my PhD, I have studied, with a coupled fluid-DEM model, the infiltration dynamics of small grains in a large particle bed. I also studied the impact of size segregation on sediment transport.

- the modeling of sediment transport with a Eulerian-Eulerian model (two phase flow modeling using the SedFoam code) with a particular focus on the coupling between the fluid phase and the granular phase and on the modeling of the granular phase behavior.

My research work is part of an upscaling process, the objectives of which are to bring small scale closures and results toward larger scale modeling through continuum modeling.

Prior to my PhD thesis, I have studied the formation of undular bore in channel with banks, known to exhibit two undular bore regimes (low Froude and high Froude regimes). I have highlighted and explained a new non-dispersive effect, due to refraction on the banks, responsible for the low Froude regime.
